How It Works
A Process Built Around You.
Private, referral-only. Because quality over quantity is the only standard she keeps.
Angela's schedule stays full — intentionally. She works exclusively with referred clients, because she believes the best coaching relationships begin with trust. If someone in her community sent you here, you're already in the right place.
Text Her to Get Started
Send a text message introducing yourself. In that first message, include:
- Your name
- The name of the person who referred you
- The swimmer's age (she works with kids, teenagers, and adults)
- Their current swimming experience or skill level
- Your general location and area where she would travel
She does not accept cold inquiries. A referral is required to be considered for availability.
Share Your Availability
Once she has your details, she'll reply with her current openings. You're welcome to include your availability in that first message — the more information you give her upfront, the faster she can match you to a time slot.
Optional: Book a 15-Minute Call
If you'd like to get a feel for her before committing, she always makes time for a quick call. Just ask for her phone availability when you text. She's easy to talk to — but if you'd rather just meet her poolside on lesson day, that works too. She'll introduce herself, let you know when she arrives, and make sure everyone feels comfortable before the lesson begins.
Important: Please do not call without scheduling first. She is often in the water or mid-lesson and cannot answer unscheduled calls.
(786) 657-9080Confirm Your Address & Lesson Details
Once your appointment is set, make sure she has your home address on file. On the morning of your lesson, she'll send a confirmation text with the time.
Payment
Every lesson is paid in advance — either the day before or a few hours prior. She accepts:
You may pay lesson by lesson, or choose one of her packages. Here's how the package flow works:
After your first lesson, you can decide which package fits your family. That first lesson's cost counts toward the package price — it's deducted from your total. Some families prefer to pay the single-lesson rate upfront, see how it goes, and then commit to a package from there. Either way works.
Packages & Progress Tracking
Packages do not have a hard expiration date, but Angela strongly encourages completing them within the year of purchase. Consistency is everything in swimming — the more regular the lessons, the faster the progress. Repetition is what turns technique into instinct.
She keeps a detailed log of every lesson attended. At any point, you can ask for your session record and she'll send it instantly — formatted clearly so you always know exactly where you stand.
Example Lesson Log of 18-Lesson Package
08/22 — Friday 1/18
08/25 — Monday 2/18
09/15 — Monday 3/18
… and so on
Scheduling, Cancellations & Communication
Flexibility, With Mutual Respect.
Angela works with over 25 families and moves from one lesson to the next. Clear communication keeps everything running smoothly for everyone.
Your Time Slot Is Reserved for You
When you commit to a recurring schedule — whether that's once, twice, or three times per week — Angela reserves that time exclusively for your family. That time is not offered to anyone else. Please be mindful and respectful of that commitment, as it directly impacts her ability to serve all of her families well.
Cancellations & Emergencies
Life happens, and Angela understands that. Each package includes up to two emergency cancellations at no penalty — no lesson deducted, no questions asked. These are intended for genuine emergencies: a sick child, an unexpected doctor's appointment, or something that comes up without warning.
For planned absences — travel, birthdays, events, or anything you know about in advance — please let her know as early as possible. If she receives at least one week's notice, no lesson will be deducted from your package, as she may be able to fill that time slot with another family.
If you cancel at least 3 hours before your scheduled lesson, no lesson will be deducted from your package.
If Angela is already on her way to you when a cancellation comes in, that lesson will be counted from your package regardless of the reason.
Infant & Daily Intensive Programs
For families enrolled in the Infant Aquatic Intensive (daily 15-minute sessions), missed sessions do not roll over to the following week under any circumstances. The daily format is built around biological consistency — every gap in the schedule impacts your baby's progress directly. Angela's travel and time are reserved specifically for your child each day, and that commitment cannot be transferred or made up.
If Angela cancels or needs to reschedule a session, that session will never be counted against your package.
South Florida Weather
Angela knows South Florida weather is unpredictable — especially in summer. Here is exactly how weather situations are handled so there is no confusion:
If you notice lightning or heavy rain 30 to 60 minutes before your lesson:
Send her a text immediately. Angela monitors conditions on her end as well and will often reach out to you first. If conditions make it unsafe or unreasonable to be in the water, she will not count that lesson against your package — as long as she has not already left to come to you.
If Angela reaches out about lightning in the area 30 to 45 minutes prior to your lesson and you confirm the lesson is a go:
Once you confirm — whether by text, a heart reaction, or any affirmative response — Angela will make her way to you. Because she already sent a morning confirmation earlier that day, this weather check-in becomes your second confirmation of the day. At that point, the lesson is considered fully confirmed and will be counted from your package regardless of what the weather does after that confirmation is received.
If she arrives and conditions change the moment she gets there or shortly before — a thunder strike five minutes before the lesson, a sudden shift that prevents anyone from entering the pool, or a situation where she is already in the water and it begins lightning only five minutes in — that lesson still counts. She drove to you on your second confirmation of the day. Her time and travel are not refundable based on weather that changed after you confirmed you wanted to proceed.
When in doubt, text first. Angela will always work with you — but once she is on her way, the lesson counts.
Morning Confirmation
On the morning of every lesson, Angela will send you a confirmation text before 9 AM. This is your cue to confirm that the lesson is still on.
Please respond with a confirmation — a simple “confirmed,” a thumbs up, or a heart reaction is all she needs. It does not have to be a full message. A single reaction takes two seconds and protects your lesson.
Do not leave it on read.
If Angela does not receive a confirmation, she will not be driving to your home. However, because your time slot was reserved and no cancellation or emergency was communicated, that session will still be counted from your package.
Her drive, her time, and your reserved slot are all committed the moment she sends that morning text. Not responding is not a cancellation — it is a no-show, and it counts as a lesson used.
How to know your confirmation deadline:
Open your maps app and search the drive time from NSU (Nova Southeastern University, Davie, FL) to your home address at the time your lesson is scheduled. Whatever that drive time shows — add 15 minutes to it. That is the latest you can send your morning confirmation and still have Angela on her way to you on time.
For example: if the drive from NSU to your home shows 20 minutes at that time of day, your confirmation deadline is 35 minutes before your lesson start time.
Angela sends her morning text before 9 AM so you have plenty of time to see it, react to it, and not have to think about it again. As soon as you see it — heart it, like it, reply “confirmed,” or send any quick response. That is all it takes.
A quick confirmation protects everyone. It takes two seconds and ensures Angela knows you are still on for that day.
Communication Is Everything
Angela is in the water or mid-lesson most of the day and cannot stop to check her phone between sessions. Please always follow up by text — even if you mentioned something to her in person during a lesson. With over 25 families on her schedule, a verbal note without a text message can easily get lost in the flow of a busy day. She will always remind you to send that text, and she will confirm receipt when she can.
If you need to modify a time — say, you can't make your usual slot but could do later that day — text her and she'll let you know if she has availability. If not, you'll simply resume at your next scheduled time.
Referrals
Angela's schedule is built entirely on referrals — there are no cold inquiries accepted. If you refer someone to her, please ask them to include your first and last name in their first message so she can keep track of where her families are coming from. It means a lot, and it ensures the people you send her way are taken care of with priority.
Heated vs. Unheated Pools
Families with heated pools have the flexibility to train year-round — any package, any season, no interruptions.
For families with unheated pools, Angela recommends planning ahead and working through your package before the cooler months arrive. South Florida stays warm most of the year, but there are roughly three to four months where unheated pools become less practical. A little planning goes a long way toward keeping your swimmer's progress consistent.
